Moving help for Retirees and Senior Citizens frequently require decisions filled with emotion. You or a loved one may be leaving a well known home and neighborhood, passing on loved belongings to family and friends as well as going through the transition of moving to a new home.

We are a moving assistance and relocation company who works with baby boomers, retired persons, and with older adults and their families. We can help downsize, pack, supervisor the moving van company on move day, unpack and get you organized quickly into your new home.

For the adult children of Senior Citizens, it’s sometimes about helping elderly parents in their hour of need perhaps because of an accident or medical emergency. When everyone agrees that the aging person can no longer live on their own and they need moving assistance to a retirement or assisted living community or to a smaller more manageable residence, they have a team of professionals at MOVING IN HARMONY to call on.

Our moving service begins with a complimentary, in-home meeting. Or, on the phone if you are long distance. Together, we discuss your needs, your timetable and we will determine which services will provide you with a smooth successful move. Whatever your situation – we are with you step by step. We help with as much or as little as needed. When working with our older adult clients we are reminiscent of our own parent or grandparent and treat them like gold.

At MOVING IN HARMONY, we are the experts on:

• how to navigate hiring a moving company so you won’t be mistreated or charged more than the estimate you were given

In addition to helping and assisting people with their move, the team at MOVING IN HARMONY will advise and provide services for those who need and want:

• help removing contents from a former or unlived-in home (clean-out and clean-up)
• help changing the current home for a new purpose or lifestyle
• help removing grown childrens’ property from home, garage and/or storage unit

Often times, MOVING IN HARMONY will do the entire project with older adults with no family help or just a little family help. Some older people don't have adult children or their children are unavailable to help. Our older adult clients maintain the control but we gently guide them through. We keep any long distant family members informed and a part of the transition through email and phone calls.
