Active Recovery Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Clinic

Our registered physiotherapists and massage therapists, along with our certified kinesiologists strive to return injured clients back to their pre-injured function in a professional setting.
The Active Recovery clinic is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinic that has serviced the Durham and Clarrington region for over 15 years. Our staff of 7 registered physiotherapists, 4 registered massage therapists and 2 certified kinesiologists work as a team to offer you the highest quality care in a warm, and caring environment.
Our goal is to return clients to their pre-injured status. We offer early morning, evening and weekend hours. We have an extensive sports injury component to our clinic. We treat athletes of all ages and levels. We have our acute walk-in clinic, our regular sports treatment and access to orthopedic surgeons should the injury be serious enough.
Our Osteoporosis program helps to identify clients risk factors and an individual program is developed for each client, supervised by our exercise specialist.
All of our therapists are registered and have many years of experience in the assessment and treatment of injured people. Our therapists' skills range from Mckenzie certified, to manual therapists, to muligan trained as well as acupuncture certified. We use an active approach at the Active Recovery Clinic.

We boast a fully equipped gym including weights, cardio equipment, balance and agility equipment. We have all the up-to-date modalities such as ultrasound, IFC, laser, hot and cold therapy, muscle stim.

Physiotherapy/massage therapy for pain, stiffness, strains and sprains, arthritis, pre and post surgery , injuries due to car accidents, wsib injuries, sports injuries. We offer osteoporosis and fall prevention, post partum health for moms, vestibular rehabilitation. We offer sport fit and golf fit programs.
